What Happens to The stuff in your classic neohome when you get the beta?

You may keep your "old" stuff, but only items marked with a "home" icon can go in your new (Beta) Neohome.....

At this point, we have concurrent home types, Classic and New (Beta). The blurb in the Neopets New Features article mentions being able to use the new (Beta) furniture in your Classic Neohome, but that ONLY furniture/items that have a little "Home" icon on them may be used in the New NeoHomes. [Also, I cannot put my "classic" items in my new (Beta) storage shed.]

Of course I found all this out AFTER I removed all my items from my Classic Neohome, to see if I could put them in my (Beta) Storage Shed. ARGH... (at least I didn't demolish anything! <g>)

The good news is that it doesn't look as if I had to pay for my new (Beta) Neohome. So, for now I think I will keep Classic Neohome, until we can see where the new (Beta) Neohomes are headed.

I think that the value for the more rare furnishings will go down, but the things I have in my Classic Neohome are not things I wanted to sell anyway.

Neopets is changing a LOT of things, many new features which blur the lines between reality (NeoCash cards, available a Target stores, etc...) and the virtual realm of Neopets. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but for now, my kids and I still enjoy Neopets.
