I want to get a new home residential phone service for my room but when I visit sites like ConnectMyPhone (a site to tell you the cheapest phone carriers in your area) They are all like $80.00. I know that there is something cheaper. That is why I would like to know what your company is.

Thanks.

  1. Verizon.......50.00 a month with call waiting, conference calls, caller I.D.  unlimited calls in US Puerto Rico Guam...anytime..talk as long as you want.

  2. I use the same service as TiffanyB, it is excellent. You should drop her an email.

  3. Qwest. $30.00/month.

  4. I got Packet8!!

I pay yearly so its only 16 dollars a month...

I also use MagicJack....its 19.99 per year.....since I pay for high-speed Internet anyway....might as well take advantage of it!!

  5. I use VoIP home phone service from InPhonex and CallCentric.  Both services are Pay-As-You-Go, no contracts, no hidden fees, or fine print.

I use InPhonex LiteLine as my primary VoIP home-phone for $7.95/month... unlimited incoming calls, 2.5 cents/min for all out-going calls to anywhere in USA/Canada and much of Europe. Includes all the bells&whistles....at No Extra Costs.

I use CallCentric as my seconday home-phone number for only $1.95/month + 1.5 cent/min for incoming calls and 1.9 cents/min for all outgoing calls to anywhere in USA/Canada and much of Europe.  Also includes all the bells&whistle features at.... No Extra Costs.

The savings of VoIP service over PSTN phone service can be substantial.  Only catch is that it makes all calls over high-speed Internet and requires an Internet Router & ATA Telephone adapter.

InPhonex sells the ATA phone adapters needed for their service.

CallCentric is BYOD (bring your own device), so you buy the adapter elsewhere and just configure it for their service.

I use the Linksys PAP2T ($65) and have it configured for both services - InPhonex on line-1 and CallCentric on line-2.

One VoiP box - two VoIP services.... both at low cost.

  6. I get unlimited calls anywhere in the United States, Canada,Puerto Rico, Hawaii, for under $30.  There are a lot of other plans available for much lower, but with my family scattered everywhere and some people over seas, I need something that won't charge me a lot as well as reliable and have no hidden costs that a lot of providers pop up on you.   If you'd like more information from me, email me and I'll be happy to pass it along.
