My main riding horse is a Belle a black (fading) fox trotter mare.  With white socks and a wide blaze.  She stands 14.2 hh.  She has a remarkably smooth fox trot, a smoother still running walk, and I recently found out she can also rack(I had never let her before).  Apparently she can rack at speeds of a gallop.  Her main just flies behind her.

If you have never ridden a gaited horse I really suggest you try one if you get the chance.

my horse! Chrome, a 14.3- 15 hh gray quarter horse that is 4 years old. i used to ride Teak occasionally, a 14.1 ish hh sorrel qh/arab that was 28 at the time; now she's 31. sometimes i ride my mom's paint, Tulsa, that is a 14.3 hh chesnust tobiano 9yo. when i took lessons before we got our horses, i took some on Gypsy, a 14.1 hh silver dun qh pony. then i rode Lucy sometimes, a 15.2 hh chestnut paint. and i rode tulsa a few times (mom bought tulsa from our trainer). and then i ended my lessons (w/ out my own horse) on Sarge, a 16.2 hh dark gray qh. he's awesome.
