  1. Here's a list of foods your cat should not eat. You should just come clean with your parents so the kitty can have food made for cats.  There aren't many human foods that are good for them.

  2. Raw meat.

  3. if shes young enough you can still feed her/him milk and you can feed them tuna shrimp chicken any type of meat as long as they like it and not all kittens will. I've given my cat cheese before but then he started flipping out its probly because my cat is a spaz! But yeah any type of meat.

  4. HI there... the safest human food is plain boiled chicken (no bones) and rice. However, cats need food specifically designed for them to get all their essential nutritional needs met so boiled chicken is only a temporary solution, not a long-term one.  Avoid feeding tuna and milk.  Cats are lactose intolerant and tuna destroys the vitamin B1 enzyme   (see: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... )   Cats digestive system is very delicate so anything with seasonings can be very toxic to them.  Additionally, leave out fresh water to help keep the kitten hydrated.

  5. You have to be very care full what you feed your cat if it's human food. Really I suggest not feeding human food. There are a lot of foods that can hurt them or give them problems. Chocolate is a major thing not to give them. It's poisonous to them. Don't give them tuna, and milk. Those can cause many problems for your cat or kitten. I have 2, 4 month old boy cats and I got a special book that shows all of the stuff that is bad and poisonous for cats and those 3 are on the list or in the book.

  6. The general agreement on this board is cat should not be fed human food, mainly because a cat has a very different diet from humans. However, occasionally, it won't harm the cat if you give it a little human food in the form of wholesome meat like chicken breast.

Tuna and fish are a favorite but be very careful because Tuna is very appetizing and your cat might develop a taste for it and nothing else. Tuna also does not contain significant amounts of vitamin E, for example, so too much of the fish can lead to vitamin E deficiency, resulting in yellow fat disease, or steatitis. Fish also contains some level or mercury and careful consideration should be used before feeding your cats. Tuna and fish should never be used as a staple of your cat's diet.

Some plain scramble eggs (no seasoning and salt) is fine, pureed pumpkin (fresh pumpkin not canned) is recommended to be given to cats who has loose stools.

Some cats love luncheon meats, ham, sausages and hot dogs but refrain from feeding those due to their high sodium level.

Most cats are lactose intolerant but if your cat does fine with dairy, you can offer some diluted warm milk with water, plain yogurt, and once in a while, a good old slice of cheese. Any amount of dairy in large quantity is bound to upset the cat's delicate digestive system.

Vegetables, although is not harmful, provides little benefits. But cats can eat them but make sure they are cooked and not raw because cooking breaks down complex carbohydrates into simple carbohydrates and aids digestion. If you are feeding too much vegetable matter, or not cooking it enough, it will show up as constipation or diarrhea.

Some cats love melons - watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe. Fruits contain primarily simple carbohydrates and need not be cooked.

Like vegetables, be moderate and beware of intestinal distress.

Just be very careful when feeding your cat human food. As a precaution, it is best to avoid the best you can. Cat really doesn't need any extras if they are already eating a balanced and nutritionally superior food, in the form on wet cat food.

  7. Really there is no human food good for a cat. It really needs to be on a kitten food. A lot of people food is toxic to cats.

Here is an article on the subject

  8. I'm sorry but I don't care what people say, our cat eats virtually nothing BUT people food and she's fine.  We give her any type of meat we're eating, she gets hamburger, steak, ham, chicken, fish, she'll even eat macaroni and cheese.  She loves chinese, the beef from lo mein and stuff.  It seems safe for her, and she's certainly fat lol so she's got enough weight on her.  Oh and all cats love tuna, so definitely tuna is fine, although it makes a lot of them sick.  Just see what it will eat.

  9. I think low fat meats arent too bad. BUT i have heard from our vet NOT to give cats any kind of pork because its not good for their liver and can eventually shut down organs killing them. Its not a well known fact, but its true. Check with your vet to double check. Also, if youre giving your cat one kind of meat, like chicken, and thats it- cats need variety for health reasons. NOT saying to give it mac n cheese haha but make sure you buy cat vitamins, they come in liquid form and you can  put it in her water/food. :)

  10. raw meat

    but don't feed it onions

those are real toxic to him/her

  11. Cats are strictly carnivores (in the wild.. and I don't mean lions and tigers.. I mean if our domesticated cats were wild cats) so any meat is really fine for them. A lot of cats get fat because there are carbohydrates (like rice) in cat food which makes them fat because it gets digested in a very similar way that carbohydrates are digested in humans. Though, do not give your cat canned tuna. It has too much magnesium and may cause your cat to get kidney stones. This happened to my boss's cat and the cat went on meds that caused the cat to go into renal failure and died.

    So.. meat.. and that's it.

  12. Gotta get some cat food.  It's the best thing you can do for the cat.  And you'll have to show your parents sometime.  You have to let the cat out of the house so it can get outside and get some fresh air.  That's the healthy thing to do for it.  But that'll be hard to do in secret.  You gotta tell your parents if you're keeping a pet.  Or give the cat to someone you trust.

  13. my cat eats whatever she wants. If she wants cat food she eats it, if she wants my food, she eats it.
