What I have to do to make a fax machine work?

I Have never used a fax,and my friend bought a used one without a manual,so we don't know what to do.Does it need

an additonal phone line or it can work with the same of the

line of the hose phone?Which are the basic functions and buttons in a fax machine and how are they used?I'll really

appreciate if anybody lets me know..

By the way the model is:INTELLIFAX-775.

You can use the regular house line, but then you have to know that you are receiving a fax so you can set it to receive mode. Try going to the website to find instructions for use. That would be much easier than us trying to explain it here.

Place the document on the front of the fax (it should say document face up or down. dial the number and push send.

Go online and find the website of the manufacturer.  They'll have an online user manual for you to use.
