What ID could i use to send off for my passport?i dont have much except my birth certificate and voting card?

  1. read the passport application form, that's got all the relevant information.


  2. Voting card?  What's one of them then?  Do you mean the bit of paper which came through the door with your name on - useless - throw it away.

    Your birth certificate is all you will need for your first passport.  You will need to provide proof of who you are in the form of having your photograph signed by someone who is a civil servant, teacher, doctor etc. who has known you for more than 5 years.  This is how they know you are who you are.  You may be asked to attend an interview as well.  If you're a UK citizen they they can trace you from birth through your birth certificate and NHS number.

  3. See site below for necessary and acceptable documents for your passport. It has all the application info and you can print out the forms to fill out too.  your birth certificate is the first choice...and if you have that...you are fine.

  4. Birth certificate, passport sized photo and the passport form signed by your GP or accountant who have known you at least two years are all you need
