  1. For US or Canadian Citizens:

    If you are traveling to Mexico or Caribbean the all you need is a birthdertificate and Government issues ID

    All other places you need a passport.  

    If you cruise originated in another country and you have to fly to Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico etc to start you trip, you will need a Passport cause all air travel to these countries will require a passport starting in January.  If you are starting from San Diego or Florida then the above birthcertificate and ID apply

  4. Starting December 31st,2006 every USA citizen will need a passport to board a cruise ship and leave a cruise ship or they will not be allowed entry.  Also in case of marriage a marriage certificate to show change of last name.  Valid driver's id or state id as well.

    31 you will have to have a Passport.

Air flights will requires a passport January 2007. Cruise passengers will be required for 2008. Everyone will tell you that a passport is better in the long run.
