What If You Accidentally Peel Off Your windows license??

Ive got a New Laptop and i accidentally peeled off the windows license.

My father told me it was pretty important so now I'm asking is there any way i could Get the license back. or it doesn't matter if i dont have the license. Thx!

Use this program called "MagicJellyBeanFinder" to recover it. Make sure to write down the Activation code, just incase.

Danni, if you still have windows key then you shouldn't worry too much about the label. Just keep your windows key safely. If you are planning to use your laptop for good (not sell it later) then there will be no drama. That label is important for Business people because they are audited every now and then, where I haven't seen any audit on it for personal use. Unless that laptop is identified to be a stolen one.

So In your case, it should be fine :) and windows key is more important for this incident.

Don't lose sleep on the licence. As long as you know it is an original purchase, don't lose sleep on it. If you are worried, call Microsoft and tell them.

Hi Danni, Thx for stealing my name, but anyway that sticker IS sort of important, BUT i dont think you need it now. As Chip D said You should consider asking microsoft.

If that is The Windows Key Okay THAT IS IMPORTANT i suggest that if you still have the sticker keep it, just incase.

If that is The Windows Key you should be VERY VERY cautious for viruses or any other reasons to reinstall windows. I dont suggest magic jelly bean finder because it MIGHT i repeat: MIGHT have a virus.

Dont lose sleep on it. :D

OH and one more thing i suggest changing your name ASAP :D

if u mean the system volume key yes it is important if you ever need to repair you system u will need this number there are programs that can retrieve it i would not do it until i needed it there at download.com

It doesn't matter since the serial is used anyways. The sticker just says that you have a genuine version of windows. And if you ever call Windows for a new serial, you'd probably need the numbers on that sticker.

There's my program called Magic Jelly Bean that can get the serial directly from your computer. Belarc Adviser also provides the information.
