What If till in bookies is out of order?

What happens if you take your slip to the cashier and the because till is not working they can't take your bet? Could they take your money and slip to accept the bet without putting it in their system?

no they cant because the information has to be in the system before the race starts .and you wouldn't have a receipt for your bet
