What Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone would you recommend?

I am looking to buy an Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone, such as an iPhone 3G but I want to hear other people's opinion.

Is the iPhone 3G a very good choice? Or is there something better I can buy that has similar functions? I was looking for something with multi-touch and preferably not much more expensive than the iPhone itself.

What do you suggest?

if multitouch is a must have req then iphone is the one for you . If its not then have aa look @  XPERIA X1 anf HTC Touch Pro ( both are not released yet but are bound to be gr8 feature packed phones )
