What Is A Comprehensive Substance Abuse Assessment?

I had one when right before I went into rehab.  It was a 2 hour long interview with a substance abuse counselor who asked me everything you could possible imagine about my drug use.  it was horribly odd and uncomfortable, but ultimately eye opening as i realized that i'd done a lot of drugs!

ultimately they decide if they think that you need to get help and/or if you're ready to get help and whether you should be outpatient or inpatient and which center you should go to (this is especially true if you don't have insurance that would pay for rehab).
