  1. Free online schools (which are *public* schools) and working at your pace are not compatible.  The "free" online schools are public schools, so you have to abide by the same deadlines, grade levels, and regulations as you would in a brick & mortar public school.

    The only way you can work at your pace is to pay for a private online school with tuition.
