What Is A Good WWII reference book?

I'm doing some research on a book I'm writing and I need a good book of WWII facts. I don't really need battle data, but more so facts on uniforms, weapons, military jargon/slang... more day-to-day type stuff. Anyone have any ideas?

  1. The Second World War by Martin Gilbert. Very good book.


  2. go to your library and browse through their catalog using the computer. if that doesn't work, then you can look up the information online. try wikipedia, or this site:

  3. THE WORLD AT WAR by Mark Arnold-Forster came out in 1973 to accompany the Thames Television series (which is still on U K history channel ) It covers everything in a paperback
