i think theyre those holders with a bunch of holes in them right?

but why are they like that? do you get more performance out of them? and if so then why is that?

The Tblade system is designed that way for lightness. Also, the Tblade has a unique blade. It doesn't get sharpened, it gets replaced. It is made of stainless steel, is a bit thinner, for less resistance on the ice, and when they get dull, you pop 'em off, and slap new ones on there.
