  1. Mostly you find full black cats that come from some level of Siamese heritage. I have a boy that's almost identical to your cat. So, he's likely part Siamese (which explains the constant talking).

  2. HE IS CUTE! That is what. UM.... well Here is a site of breeds.

    http://www.cfainc.org/breeds.html

I will post a link in a few minutes when I check and figure it out (if i can, you can look too. there are pics for every breeds link)

    Kinda like a Tonkinese

    Havana Brown but black

Those are the only two I really think But you should look, you have him at your house so you can really tell!

My fav. is Scottish Fold. HAH look at it. you will giggle. they always look sad.

He does not look like any of the breeds you listed.  His face is long.

  3. Im not sure what breed he is but I know that he is very beautiful!!

  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombay_cat          I'M VERY SHARE YOUR CAT'S A BOMBAY!!     HE'S A VERY GOURGES BLACK CAT ..PURRRR^_^

  5. Hes cute but i have no idea mayb a Siamese?

  6. Domestic shorthair.  Might be able to stretch it and say he's a shorthair Oriental mix.  Siamese mix.  What does it matter?  He's super handsome.  Sounds like a fun, wonderful cat.

  7. ja

  8. He doesn't have the traits of any purebred cat.  He's of no particular breed - just like over 97% of the cats on this planet.  Cats have been domestic for nearly 4,000 years and most are so removed from any breed.

  9. i dont know...maybe siamese????

  10. He looks like a regular ole black cat nothing special really. But as long as you love him to each their own.

  11. Statistically, between 20 and 30 percent of cats surrendered to animal shelters are purebreds; so it's quite probable that more cats in the general populace have a well-defined background than we realize.  Sometimes it's just difficult to pin them down if we don't know their ancestry and they're not officially "registered" with the CFA or TICA, etc. There are so many different color and marking varieties within some breeds, so you can't always go by the color of the fur.

The "playing-fetch" thing is characteristic of Manx, which is sometimes referred to as the "dog cat"; but there are also other cat breeds with this trait. Your cat shows the triangular-shaped head and small/thin body type typical of the Siamese and its' offshoots.  There are only 3 basic types of purebred cats, best typified by the Persian, the American Shorthair and the Siamese (cobby, stocky body; medium, muscularly-built and the small, fine-boned type). Most modern breeds were originally cross-derivatives of these three main types.

I would suggest consulting a good pictorial reference book, such as "The Encyclopedia of the Cat" by Michael Pollard. This not only contains photos, but origins and descriptions of differing physical characteristics and behavior which you can use to help determine which breed your cat resembles most.

Oh, and your cat is absolutely gorgeous!! :)  From your description he sounds like a wonderful, smart & entertaining kitty to own -- may you both enjoy many happy years together!

  12. satans kitty lol

  13. He looks like a bombay. He is  a very handsome cat, as far as cats go.

I've included a link that might help

  14. Looks like there could be some siamese in there but most likely a mixed breed. With what im not sure. Sorry

  15. He's a black domestic shorthair, in other words,a mixed breed,like most cats.He's a beautiful kitty!

  16. Lots of half-Siamese cats turn out black or solid in color, it all depends on the genetics of the dad cat.  I'd just say that he was a Siamese mix, and probably mixed with a domestic short hair cat.  He sounds as though he has inherited all of those wonderful Siamese qualities from his mom though.  Enjoy your beautiful cat!
