I am an action performed by some players, but it isn't mandatory. Some players, such as Brett Lee, are often seen doing this, others will have no part of it. Fans are very pleased to see this, but sometimes the captain frowns at the player when he's doing it! It can be seen happening on most grounds around the world, & also in other sports.

Harbhajan was seen patting Brett lee on his buns! This is enjoyed by the Australian fans. Ponting frowns on all the players while doing it, because, he does not want them to complain. He frowned on Harbhajan because he felt neglected!
