well my high school we dress up. we warm up by like stretching and running for two laps which last like 4 minutes and then we play around for fun. it's really relaxing and not all strict.

as for people who see you they think youre a dork.

maybe cause most of the people who try out are :(

Some High School Tennis Team are tough and of course some are not.  Usually the team that wins a lot practices much more than a team that always loses.  Being on a High School Tennis Team is very fun and challenging.  Not only will you make more friends but you will also grow more mature after playing tough matches.  Sometimes you will have emotional struggles because the opponent you face is tough, but after the match you will definitely become a better player.  You should definitely join a High School Team.  Good luck!

I went to a good tennis high school and we practiced about 2.5 hours every weekday, so it can be long and tiring

Anyways, one of the answerers above was right when he mentioned that teams with good records practice much more.

Usually, the kids play outside of school and participate in tournaments because they don't have much competition locally, but school play is not too bad where I come from(MD).

Honestly, it depends on how much you coach wants to push you, and how academically in tune he/she is. If the students are "dorks" or "nerds", the team will practice for an hour our so, but if everyone's fired up, you could be set for a four hour practice.

It depends what High School you go to.  At my high school it is not taken seriously so its pretty stress-free and fun, but at some stricter High Schools it may be more like tennis boot camp.
