Im starting to get pissed about how people are being all "saving the Earth" when people are losing jobs and homes in the Us due to recession, I think we should focus on the economy, than something that wont be a big deal in our life time or the next generations. What do you think

  1. The real truth is global warming is a good thing, more land to grow food on, longer growing seasons, milder weather with fewer large hurricanes and tornadoes. The warmer climate is the best thing that could happen for the normal people and hurt the oil companies the most. Why if winters are warmer they will sell less heating oil and gas for heating homes and businesses. Food will be more plentiful and cheaper because a warmer world will grow more food and have lower fuel costs.

    Pray for more warming, please!

  2. we'r rich,money can wait...lets deal with global warming.

  3. Ecology and economy are interrelated

    check back in History

when a countries Environment was in trouble

    so was their economy

    you cannot separate the two.

    Healthy soil ,good water,

    subsequent good agriculture

    ,good air

    spells affluence

if any of these are in trouble so are the people and their businesses.

  4. I agree that when a person loses thier job that is at the front of thier mind and its hard for them to think about anything else.  Providing for yourself and your family is, in my opinion, the most important thing for anyone.  But after concern for your family comes concern for your neighbors and fellow man.  So yes if you are unemployed, you should care for your family.  Once you are stable again, look outside and see what you can do to help others too.  Helping others might mean working against the recession or it might be working against global warming.  As long as you are trying to do good, you can't go wrong.

  5. Global Warming, we need to save the environment, to tell you the truth, I couldn't care less about the U.S. economy

  6. Since "global warming" isn't real, I am more concerned about the economy.

No one can say if it will be warmer or colder in the future.  It's just their guess.

  7. Climate change : since cutting down on emissions / pollution will actually benefit an economy by making energy consumption more efficient and cheaper (renewable resources). Oh yea, and if you would prefer to rescue an economy in a mild form of slow-down, there won't be an economy in a few years cos Earth will kick our buts!

  8. The economy as global warming doesn't exist.

  9. They're related

    saving energy... saves money

    researching alternative fuels... creates jobs

stopping pollution... improves people's health, saving money.

recycling... re-uses materials... wouldn't that bring costs down?

also... poor people are far more likely to live in polluted areas, be affected by high gas prices, etc.

  10. Econemy?

You forgot - if there is no fuel to transport FOOD, people would get mighty thin. :)

The entire basis of the Global Warming 'Theory' is when CO2 increases the earth's temperature will increase.  For 10 years now the temperatures have NOT followed the increasing CO2 levels = The THEORY is INVALID!!!  But the loonies will never admit this!

I am more concerned that we may be headed into a 'solar minimum' where it could get cold enough to slow food production to critical levels.
