  1. Pacific not Atlantic fish is best. Fresh vs. Farm raised too. I'm not sure about the type, but if you stick to those two pacific fresh you should be okay.

  2. Fish with scales absorbs the least amount of toxins. Tuna has high mercury counts on average 15 parts per bil. goverment allows 3 parts per bil. Why then does the Gov. allow this? Well the Big Tuna Lobby is fighting the allowable amount they want 20 bil. Stay away from Shark, Swordfish and most shell fish. Sardines are also a good choice as is Salmon . Always eat fresh ocean catch. NEVER eat FARM RAISED fish! Many test conclude they are high in many pesticides and have the least amount of nutrition verse thier counterparts. If you like Tuna eat only 1 can per week! A great book on the subject " Poisoned Nation" Get informed, and start doing some reseach. It's eye opening

  3. mercury poisoning is veryyyyy rare. try domestic salmon that is farm-raised. it tends to have a low amount but has so many other health benefits (amino acids!!!). not to mention it's very versitile in cooking.

  4. mercury poisoning chances are minimal, but i think tuna is great for fat vs protein vs cost.

  5. cod or tuna they r the only fish i no

  6. Wild Alaskan salmon is a pretty healthy choice.

Also check out the Audabon recommended list of fish.

  7. the little ones.like sardines.it is the predators that have more mercury...............

  8. I believe the best is fresh-water that you catch yourself, in an area that is not known to be polluted.

  9. If you're concerned about Mercury, you could always get a Fish Oil supplement (liquid or softgel). Any softgel from a company with at least even mediocre quality will use Molecular Distillation because that's currently the only safe way to remove any trace contaminants of any heavy metals.

Aside from processed Fish Oils, any fish will potentially have some Mercury in them, sorry.

  10. salmon. the benefits of salmon outweighs the small amounts of mecury present. Dont worry about it man..
