  1. get a recording of gordon brown in the house of comons youl soon fall asleep listning to the prat

  2. Try meditation to a) relax yourself or b)hypnosis into sleep.

  3. The best way is the way that works for you.  But there are some general things you can know and do to help with your insomnia.

This article on how to sleep better includes getting to sleep: http://www.improving-health-and-energy.c...

    Hope this helps!

  4. No.1 you gotta stop thinking about it, stop thinking full stop, it really doesn't help.

With every thought that comes to you, just imagine you're putting it into a box, not stressfully trying to get rid of them, just not allowing the thoughts to be dealt with now, you can open that box and deal with those thoughts tomorrow.

Then try to just lay there, quiet yourself, focus on your breathing but don't THINK about it, just become aware of it. Become aware of the rhythm of YOUR breathing, make sure you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth (even if you don't like it).

Once you are doing that try to breathe out for a third as long as you breathe in, ie if you breathe in for 6 seconds then breathe out for 9 seconds; continue to do this and it will calm your body. continuing to put any thoughts into that box for tomorrow. When you are quite relaxed, imagine mentally putting that box outside your bedroom door where you know you'll get it in the morning (nothing is lost). Continue with your breathing and allow all other small thoughts or feelings to just float past your relaxed state. See you in the morning! M

  13. Drink yourself to sleep, that  usually works for me

  14. Learn to relax before going to sleep, it quiets down your mind. Here is a very effective relaxation technique: www.whitemagicway.com/relaxationtechniqu...

  15. Sleeplessness is caused by many different things. It can go much further than just stress. It can be a B12 (Iron) deficiency, which if it is, and it doesn't hurt to take a supplement if it isn't, taking a supplement would help immensely. Something as simple as melatonin could help you greatly. Melatonin is what dictates our natural clock. When its dark out side it is produced in our brain, and, as we get older, our bodies start producing less melatonin. I take melatonin before bed and i also take a B12 supplement. The products i use work great.

  16. Lie very still on your back with your arms beside you.  Begin tensing up your muscles starting with your shoulders.  Hold the tension for about 10 seconds.  Next go to your arms.  Tense them, hold them, let go.  Work your way down your entire body doing this.

The entire time you're doing the tensions, breathe deeply.  After you finish the exercise you'll feel a need to get into your normal sleeping position.

I know this sounds simple, but it works for me every time.  It's actually a yoga exercise.

    Good luck!

oh, and something else that works, and I'm serious, I'm not trying to be ugly...if you m********e when you're trying to go to sleep it will help.  And the reason is that it creates tension and a letting go, just like the exercise above.

  17. get into a peperation for bed rouitne!!
