  1. Whenever someone asks a question like this 'What bike is right for me?' people always seem to answer with the bike -they- like.  That's baloney. You should get what YOU like.

When you say 'biggest', do you mean physical size or engine size?  There is a correlation but it's pretty vague.  A V-Strom 650 is 'bigger' physically than a GSX-R 1000 because it's a different kind of bike, made to be comfortable for long trips.  Plus every model is different in the relationship between seat, handlebars and footpegs.  I have a BMW 800 and a Honda 1100.  The 800 is more comfortable because of the seating position, it has more room to stretch out and it's more fun to ride.  The 1100 is bigger, heavier and faster, but not as comfortable.

The only way to tell is to sit on a bike.  Luckily, dealers, sellers, and even people you meet on bikes, are almost always happy to let you sit on their bike.  If possible, put the bike on the centerstand and then sit on the seat with hands on the  handlebars and feet on the footpegs.  Ask yourself 'Will I be comfortable sitting like this for 2 hrs or so?'

Bikes probably do have a weight limit, but you know all these bikes can carry two people, so if you're one person it probably doesn't matter much if you're a big guy.

    Good luck!

  2. Hayabusa

    Katana

    GSX650F

    Kawasaki ZZR600

    Honda F4L

These were recommended by a big and tall friend.

  3. lets see how many loosers say ninja 250 , thats like driving a weed wacker , if your tall and need some leg room get a yamaha warrior

  4. Check out the Triumph Rocket III

  5. NINJA 250R

  6. V-Rod

all the ricers are made for smaller sized guys

  7. I ride a R1 and I'm a big guy. I weigh in at 350 and have no problem with the bike at all. I have ridden a katana and many other bikes. Unlike cars when it comes to bikes size is not really a issue.

Have fun Be safe: The bike doesnt want to hurt you but it will kill you if your right hand tells it tooo!!!

  8. How "big and tall" are you?  What do you weigh?  How long have you been riding?

All these are much more important to choosing the right bike than what everyone else's personal favorites are.  If no experience, then take an MSF course FIRST while you decide.

  9. Just because youre large and or heavy doesnt mean you need to ride the biggest bike available. I'm a big and tall guy, and I have a R1 and a FZ1, I also have a VTR250. I've had a number of 600s and 750s as well. Pick what you want. All these bikes will hold 2 adults, so even if you were 400 plus lbs its not going to be an issue.

  11. well i got a question for you...does it matter what size the engine is?...if not and your looking for a sport bike (Crotch rocket) then you should go with a Honda cbr 1000rr it's big, the seat is the most comfortable out of all crotch rockets that  have sat on and Honda raises their handlebars higher than most sports bikes so it's less stress on your back..don't get me wrong after riding it for a couple hours your back will hurt eventually but it will take longer than most sports bikes for your back to start hurting.

So good luck with finding a bike and i hope this helps you out :)
