What Is The Legal Lowest Age For Somebody To Take Flight Classes?

I am currently 13 and I want to take flight classes to learn how to fly just little planes for now, what is the lowest age i can be to get a pilot license in Indiana? Thank-you very much for you help!

  2. Jessica Dubroff was 7 when she was killed by her showboating instructor and father in an attempt to be the youngest person to fly across the country or some such stunt. She had been taking lessons for some period of time at that point.

    You can start right now if you'd like.

  3. you can take lessons as soon as you can reach the peddles and see over the dash comfortably.

    You must be 16 to fly solo.

    and 17 to get your private pilots lisence.

    16 to solo

    17 private, IFR, multi engine certificate

    18 to get commercial certificate

    23 for ATP

  5. You can be any age at all to log dual given (To you that is, not by you). You can solo a glider or balloon at 14. The minimum age for glider and balloon private certificates is 16. That's about the youngest that you may legally fly something.
