I'm not quite sure what you actually mean but i will try and answer. If you mean what ingredients does it take to make soulmates then i would have to say, liking similar things/interests. Knowing each other quite well and being able to compliment one anothers traits. Feeling comfortable with each other most the time etc. But your bit about the success, well, it doesn't matter which couple are together, you both have to put in the effort to make it work and not take each other for granted...
