You are all wrong! The official runways listed in Wiki Bloggy S****y are all domestic runways! Who knows how many secret runways exist in China, Russia, Australia, Antarctica etc. with unspecified, unreleased lengths! You are blowing wind up your arses.

You are all wrong, Area 51 has the longest runway in the world. Edwards Air Force base has ONE of the longest runways in the world, and the runway at Edwards is not 7 miles long, if it was you could takeoff, fly a minute, then land with a B747, the worlds second largest commercial aircraft in the world. (747 used to be the largest until the A380 was built.)

actually Edwards AFB doesn't have the longest runway

Edwards AFB Longest runway is only 15,013 ft.

Dubai International Airport (IATA: DXB, ICAO: OMDB) is lengthening its 30L/12R runways and finished, it will be measuring at 18,700ft. (currently its 13,123 ft long) --to accommodate the A380 in 50 C temperatures.

also, groom lake (Area 51) is active and it has a runway measuring 25,300 feet although part of it is on dry lakebed so I guess that doesn't count.

okay, to all the people saying I'm wrong, why don't you get on Google Earth and take out the measuring ruler? Those are up to date satellite pictures. None of Edward's runways are 7.5 miles long. Not even the dry lakebed ones. So instead of contradicting, either find the evidence or shut up, or else we'd think you' re a politician.

David S is wrong.It is Edwards AFB(formerly known as Muroc Army Air Base).Their primary runway # 17/35 is 7.5 miles long
