If you pull your lower eyelid down, and see that red, fleshy area underneath the eye- what is that called? I am looking for the medical terminology for this area.

  1. I believe vizzu is correct.  You should not be able to see your eye muscles just by pulling your eyelid down.  The palpebral conjuctiva is a layer that covers the inside of your lids and connects to the bulbar conjunctiva which covers your eyeball.  This is why things like contacts cannot get behind your eye.

  2. Its helps your eye to rotate.

  3. actually, it's called the inferior palpebral conjunctiva.  this area can get inflammed if you have allergies or conjunctivitis.

  4. INFERIOR OBLIQUE MUSCLE
