Question:

What Is Vision Therapy?

My behavioural optometrist found out that I am near sighted, far sighted and would need bi-focals. My eyes will switch from being nearsighted to farsighted and vise versa. Enough about my vision problems, my behavioural optometrist said that i will need vision therapy. I'm wondering, what kind of therapy would this include? Thanks for any help! :)

  1. I had vision therapy as a child to help treat strabismus.  Vision therapy typically consists of eye exercises prescribed to correct your specific problem.  I was between five and ten years old when I went so I only remember a little of it and mine was likely designed for children.  I know I did focusing exercises where I would look at near objects then far objects.  I also did exercises where I had to follow various objects around the room.
