Question:

What Is Worth It???

What do you feel makes your life worth living? It could be some sappy answer in the style of: my precious children, my eternal soul mate, blah, blah, blah. But it could also be something a bit more self-indulgent, such as: a good, old-fashioned f*ckin', a big doob in the evening, just me and my bottle.

But either way, what makes you feel like living another day?

  3. Writing.

  4. Well, a good old fashion f*cking is how you get your precious children.  So let's give that pair two thumbs up.

  5. The self is an autonomous process that developed during the evolution of animal life to prevent a life from doing things that would tend to shorten its life.  By the time humans had evolved their self was so strongly developed and their sense of self preservation had become so strong that only in extremely stressful times or because of an illness would the self be so compromised that a person would kill themselves or prevent themselves from being killed.

So a question like you asked usually doesn't get a useful answer because to a normal person it is a meaningless or silly question.  And most of the answers you might get will be somewhat indulgent but still meaningless answers.  The self makes it meaningless.

Now if for you it is a meaningful question, perhaps you need to see a doctor and deal with whatever is bothering you.

  6. HOPE.  Without it, I am lost

  7. Learning new things and my friends and family, if I had nothing else I could be happy.  If I was missing any I would be miserable.

  8. The alternative (being dead) is not really attractive to me at the present time.
