What Is a Dream Journal??

Im hearing about all theese dream journals, but what are they?

Usually, when a person is attempting to learn how to lucid dream (knowing when you're dreaming and being able to control it,) they keep dream journals to help them remember their dreams, which is the first step in lucid dreaming.

when keeping a dream journal, you write down as many details of your dreams as you can remember. writing them down helps you remember more details, which will eventually progress into lucid dreaming. sometime people will delibarately wake up in the middle of the night to record dreams in their journal.

people like writers and musicians also often keep dream journals so they can remember odd/interesting events in their dreams that they could use in songs or books.
