I like the name Princess, especially if she's really sweet.

I was thinking of getting a sheltie. I was going to name her Lady.

Why don't you study her personality. See her quirks and issues and then match it up to a name.

Princess, IMO, is overused and is usually reserved for the dainty purse dwelling rats.

I have a sheltie mix and it took me three days to name her, and thank god I didn't go with the first name because there is NO way she was a LuLu.

Shelties are powerful and intelligent dogs, down and dirty, fast, and play-till-they-die dogs. Not much of a princess, don't you think?

My Sheltie is named Katie. It fits her to a "t". If you like Princess, then that is what you should name her. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks that counts, it's what you think.
