  1. It's the same except with a lisp.

  2. I live in Spain & it is Barcelona.  If you want to know more add me to your contacts.

    XO

  3. Barcelona es la capital de Cataluña. Ellos no se sienten españoles, y hablan catalan, que es un dialecto del español.

Pero Barcelona es una ciudad muy bonita

  4. It's the same. It is the Capital of Catalonia which is an autonomous part of Spain and has it's own language.

  5. Barcelona IS Spanish.  Like many places, we haven't changed the name into English on this one. Same with Madrid and Valencia.  Some other places, we pronounce more in English, and some, we have actually changed.  Like Seville.  Actually Sevilla in Spanish...Not terribly different, either.

And, in keeping with a couple of the other answerers...it's ALSO Catalán.

  6. The spelling is the same is the same in English, Spanish, and Catalan. The pronunciation is a little different. In (Castillian) Spanish, they say

Bar- thay - lo - nah

    In Catalan

    Bar - sah - lo - nah

  7. Barcelona is the same in Spanish, however the Catalan people are looked on differently by some Spaniards in the South, the same as the Basques are. You could say its like England's view of Scotland and Wales.
