Okay, so in June, I dyed my hair for the first time a little lighter [I am naturally a darrrrrrk brown] and then 3 days later, dyed it again much lighter, with a blonde dye! Both of these were at home kits, garnier and clairol. I hate the color i have turned out to have so I want to dye it back to normal for the last time. I am worried about ruining my hair so I'd like to know:

-What is the best at home hair dye brand?

-Will my hair be killed?

-Any tips or tricks?

PLEASEE answer my question I am very concerned....

p.s. my hair is pretty thick and curly but i straighten it.

  1. Ok.

If you REALLY hate it, use Clairol Gray Busters.  It sounds really funny because you're not covering gray.  But this stuff doesn't fade!

And I should know!  I've been going PURE WHITE since I was 14.  This brand and line sticks and sticks GOOD.

It's a professional dye.  You will have to go to a beauty supply shop to get it.

If your hair is really thick, how many at home kits did you need for one application?  If your hair took 2 boxes to cover 1 dye job, than you will need 2 bottles of the prof. dye.  Get an application bottle and use 2oz of creme developer per bottle.  MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP GLOVES!  If any gets on your skin, use Sea Breeze on a cotton ball and scrub.

Pick up a color that is as close as you can get to your natural color.  Once you've got it mixed, start applying along the hair line.  Do the top first, than each side, than the back.  Leave it on for 40 mins and rinse really well.

Towel dye and then slap a lot of your conditioner on your hair.  Put a shower cap on your head and wrap a towel around your head.  Rinse the conditioner out after 1/2 an hour and style as usual.

  2. Perfect 10 SOUNDS good but idk never used it!

  3. If you are straightning and dyeing it must be damaged by now. I would call the 800# on the box. Every brand has the 800# on it and experts to advise you.

  4. If your dying it darker, then your hair should be fine.

Garnier hair dye is the absolute best hair dye I've found(and I've tried them all  lol)

It's also the least damaging one that I've found.

  5. Go to the salon and have them do it for you save yourself the damage and the heartache you will feel when you see the results you get from the at home kits. (as you already know judging from your question)
