  1. On a map, JCT means Junction, it is usually followed by number indicating which Junction.  For example Junction 148.

    All a junction is is a place where multiple roads connect and allows you to transfer from one road to another.  These junctions can be very complex (involving multiple on-ramps) or it might just be an intersection where one road crosses the other.


  2. In adittion to a road, it also applies to where railroad lines connect with each otherm and with other roads.
