What Job application status closed means?

This usually means that the employer is no longer accepting CV's or application forms for that particular job vacancy. This does not mean you did not get the job or that the job is no longer available. It simply means that they no accepting applicants other than the ones received before the status was changed to "closed". You will know that the job is no longer available when the status changes to "filled". Hope this helps.
