  1. Electric. Because it sounds better.

  2. Electric, plus with certain amps, you can make lots of effects.

  3. Depends what kind of music your going to play. If you want to play classical you should get an acoustic. If your going to play heavy metal you should get an electric guitar.

  4. Dude, you can't just ask a question like that.

What kind of music do you want to play? If you're looking to learn rock, metal, punk, or anything like that, go for a 6-string electric.

If you're going to be playing country or classical, definitely go for the acoustic.

Get the acoustic-electric if it's gonna be both, maybe some stuff that uses both electric and acoustic guitars, like some newer country, and some rock and stuff.

And save getting a 12-string till you're really good with 6 strings

    Hope I helped!

P.S. -Don't get a really expensive guitar for your first. You might decide you don't want to stick with it... It'd be a waste to get a $2000 Gibson Les Paul and decide you don't want to play it, when you could get a very similar Epiphone Les Paul for $300 to test as your first, so it wouldn't be a huge loss to decide you don't want to keep it up

  5. Acoustic plug-in 7 string with cutaway. As long as the action and tone are good on that kind of guitar, then you have the best versatility. 12 strings are way too shrill for multiple songs.
