  1. I usually say this...

I would not waste the money doing to school  for pharmacy tech (which is different from a pharmacist). You can get hired at any retail pharmacy with no training. I work part time in one while I am in college and never had any special training. The only real time you should get training for it is if you plan on working in a hospital and doing chemo or such.

The most you'll make is around 12 an hour after a couple years or if you can talk your way to that wage.

    To your question...

If you can count to 30 you'll be fine. the most you'll have to do is do a "days supply" calculation where you say "hmm....twice a day for a month = 60 pills" so i dont think your poor math ability is going to affect you.

  2. Sorry, but that first post was absolutely incorrect with their statement.  You will have to learn conversions (heavy), math, multiplication, fractions, addition, subtraction, division.  You just "don't count pills".  Being a pharmacy technician is much more to it than that.  I work in a hospital as a pharmacy technician and if I came to work with that attitude like the first post and knowledge, I would be fired in an instant.

Attend either your local community college or adult vocational school.
