  1. Olive oil with spicy and bread.. I love it..

  2. I'm not entirely sure - but when I was in Italy they served fresh bread with sliced cheeses and cold meats plus sliced fresh tomatoes , and yoghurt

  3. Creps are often served as a breakfast entre in Northern Italy.

  4. most of the Italians i know  eats only foccacia  (Italian bread)or croissants  with cappuccino.sometimes with  orange juice as well.

  5. Italians take three meals each day. Lunch is somewhat richer than in other countries.

So the breakfast is usually light and embraces sweet-flavored recipes (no ham, no eggs, etc.):

usually cappuccino or milk-and-coffee and cakes/croissant

  6. Italians aren't really big breakfast eaters.  They don't eat eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc. like Americans, English, Germans, etc. do.  They usually have a cup of coffee (espresso) or a cappuccino with maybe a sweet croissant or a slice of bread with butter and jam.  Hotels in Italy will serve ham, sausages, eggs, cereal, etc. but it's usually to cater to the foreign guests.  Italians, generally speaking, can't understand how someone can eat eggs and bacon at 7 in the morning.  I live in Italy and work in the hotel business.

P.S.  Egg dishes such as frittata are usually eaten at lunch or dinner, never for breakfast.

  7. Coffee
