What Kind of Battery will I need with a 800watt RMS amp.. Computer Setup?

Alright I plan on running two 12" subwoofers to my computer... I have a 800watts RMS amp... what would be the best/cheapest route to giving them power.. either buying a battery and recharging it so often.. or something else? Please help me with this cause I want massive bass for my computer

  1. The best way would be to get a separate power supply for your speaker amplifier. You would take the output of your soundcard and run it into your amp, and your amp would be powered by a separate power supply. What is your amplifier power supply requirement? 12V? You can find a supply that would meet those requirements. Forget the battery you are going to be recharging it all the time.


  2. Is this in a car or your house? If it's a car, you didn't specify what model, but as a general rule most factory batteries will support an 800 watt amp just fine as long as your alternator is working well.
