  1. There are so many different aircraft in each category you've given that it's almost impossible to say. First thing to consider is cost. A smaller, single engine plane will cost a lot less. Larger twins typically have higher speed and longer range but cost much more.  I hope you have a lot of money to spend on this. The truth is that, unless you fly several times a week, you'll spend less money flying on a commercial flight. Planes are really tough to pay for. If you're serious, and you have at least a couple of hundred thousand dollars, you should first learn what you can from people you meet while you get your liscence. Then, once you've acheived the certifcations you need, talk to a reputable aircraft broker about your options. Somebody in the business of aircraft sales will be a ot more informative than an online Q&A site.
