have done some research and pretty much know who sells them with lowest price tag (Dixons online and Digitaldirect), but lacking experience on technical stuff i.e. full HD, resonable sound quality (as far as i've heard Viera has on of best sounds), 100Hz, future proof to some extend, etc. I don't do any gaming, tv and dvd only. Any suggestions on best after sale service, warranty...? thanks in advance ;)

  1. There are many excellent set's in this price range.

Samsung make excellent performing tv's in these prices and are generally excellent overall value with decent warranty.

Samsung's tv's are the best for low prices and also prove that low priced tv's can have excellent performance prowess. They perform very well with freeview and games consoles, showing very vivid precise, clean pictures with superlative clarity.

Sony's lcd's are also a very high recommendation, and sony's new 2008 lineup are considered to being the finest lcd tv's so far, and can be had for really good value.

Sony's lcd are also currently rated to being the best for picture performance with connected sources such as dvd payers, blu-ray players and freeview or satellite broadcast channels all showing amazing clarity and depth of field and not to mention excellent contrast with vivid natural colours.

Here is an excellent site for finding different screen sizes at different prices and when you have finally made your decision on the right tv, they also show you a step by step guide into getting the most out of your desired tv and aims to get the best out of its picture processing abilities and to help get the best possible overall picture out of the tv.
