My goal in life is to become a professional fighter and join the UFC. Right now all I know is some boxing, and some judo from TV. Any advice on what I should take? In highschool I plan to try out for the wrestling team and to be a linebacker for football. Would that help at all to make it into the UFC?

  1. Seems like UFC is to fighting as the NBA is to football... I'm kidding it's NFL. Anyway, I wouldn't get my hopes too high about getting into the UFC but just take whatever martial art you like the most. All martial arts are good for certain things and no art is better than another.

  2. Go to www.fight-site.com

It has an article on about every fighting style you can think of. And it tells you how to do your basics.

Its probably worth taking a look at.

  3. Keep watching TV. its taken you this far. Don't give up on something that works. You will be there before you know it .

Keep on training Sunshine and you  will surely make the big time

  4. for UFC MMA

isnt it funny how many people watch tv and then decide i want ot become a good enough fighter for UFC.

  5. Take up Aikido, and learn that all fighting is pointless.

  6. take up  no jo  won ku juju x champinoin ship divsion us/japan fighting

  7. mixed martial arts or brazilian jiu jitsu

  8. Depends on how old you are, if you're 16+ and have NO background in fighting then you should lower your goals to become amateur.  But since you do have some boxing background you should expand on that, and become a striker.  Take up kickboxing as well to improve fitness.  Drop judo, take up wrestling to improve your takedown defense and overall ground game.  If you have a gift for it and you work hard, you just might make it.

ps- Playing football improves your fitness but keep in mind that raw strength is not that useful in MMA.  Finesse and technique is more important.

  9. well being a practitioner of karate for 13 years im ofcourse gonna say go with that, its a great form of street fighting and will teach you how to fight 1 or multiple ppl at a time, how to defend againsnt weapons and how to kill, that being said if your looking more towards compitition not so much real street fighting then just simply find an mma gym, you cant fight till ur 18 but u can still train and spar in it, also if u cant find that then go for kick boxing, that plus ur wrestling ull do fine.

  10. Tae Kwon Do is probably the easiest to start. Tae Kwon Do Schools are everywhere.

  11. It depend on you.  you should go several martial arts school in your town and observe  them and try out it If you like It or not. if you do keep taking classes from that school or schools.

  12. Tang Su Do.

I have done it for three years and have become a very good fighter. IF you do Tang Su Do and wrestling you will know almost all there is to know about fighting.
