  1. ARMY for cars and tanks but NAVY for boats and air plains

  2. Yeah, Army.  No other branch does as much in the engineering field as the Army.

  3. Navy. You didnt specify, as to mechanical or not, but the navy has better engineering programs. For the army, well, the core of engineers is mostly civilian anyway. At lest, thats who does the real work. Anyway, the Navy Seabees do some real construction, and of course, they have ships, so the mechanical part is covered as well.

  4. rule of thumb

AIR FORCE & NAVY FOR TRAINING

    ARMY $ MARINES FOR KILLING

  5. I think you may have be confused about the terms branch and service. The best Service for engineering is ARMY. Depending on the type of engineering you want there are two main Corps (or branches, if you like).

    1. RAEME Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. It should be obvious what their role is.

    2. RAE Royal Australian Enginneers. They build bridges, do earth moving etc (similar to civil enginners) and also blow things up.

  6. The Army and the Air Force are all around in engineering. Everything from aerodynamics to logistics.

The Navy is the next best option with the nuclear program.

The Marines.....ehhh not so much, they rely on the Navy for that.

  7. Any really. They all have engineers, Navy, Army and Marines are mostly combat oriented. The Air Force has some units that aren't so much combat oriented. A lot depends on the type as to which one has the best program to suite your needs.

  8. Your question is hard to give a specific answer without knowing the type of Engineer  you want to be. There are the Engineers who are college grads and are commissioned officers and specialize in the engineering field . As a Officer it depends on where your  concentration of training is. You can specialize as a Civil, Aerospace, Marine Aquatic..(oceans and currents), Mechanical, Structural or Safety Engineer. Army Officers graduating from West Point are trained as Engineers in addition to whatever they major in. West Point is the oldest military academy and the requirement to be trained as an engineer dates back to before the Civil War when they had to build roads, bridges and fortifications. The Army Corps of Engineers built rmany of the roads, dams and other structures in this country.

Within the enlisted fields you have the basic Combat Engineer who deals with demolitions, and portable bridging operations. The Combat Engineer Heavy Equipment Operator runs dozers, graders and the other equipment that you see working on the roads and highways.  Carpenters, Plumbers, and Electricians also fall within the Engineer  Field in the Army. You have lots of choices.  If you join the military as a enlisted soldier, your test scores will determine what you are qualified to do.

As far as anyone making the statement that one branch is better than the other it is because they are lead to believe that their branch is the best one.  It is like the rivalry that exists within two high schools that are close to each other. Each branch has a specific job that they do. They all pay the same, one might be more regimented than the other but that does not mean or make you better.  What makes things better is the attitude and professionalism the individual exhibits.  Can you do the job without losing your individualism and having to be broken down and rebuilt or do you already have the pride and professionalism needed to accomplish the mission.  I look at things with the "WIIFM" factor in mind (whats in it for me) ie. shortest period of active duty time I have to give (just in case you find you do not like it), can I get a bonus when I sign up, how fast can I advance in rank (promotions mean you get paid more) and also what else can you guarantee with my enlistment ..where will I be assigned?

All branches are the same as Congress authorizes the same benefits  for all branches Just as in the civilian world the larger the company then the larger the work force.  The more personnel you have the greater chance you have to advance and be a supervisor.  In the military we call it advancing through the ranks.  I hope this helps.

  9. they all have an engineering specialty, its really all in what you want to be i would say go with the Marines. because they are the best in everything they do.

  10. Army

  11. I would say the army

  12. navy
