What NFL Team should I cheer for, and Why?

I'm Canadian, but my brother-in-law is a Patriots fan, and he got me hooked on baseball, so now I need a good team to rival against.

W2g Iceman nothing about rivalry football should include the untruth. And I believe the Eagles should win at least 1 superbowl before feeling so superior. Don' try the rest before trying the best give the Cowboys a try. With the season starting Sunday watch all the teams and make up your mind. But the odds are high on the Cowboys and Pats to go to the Superbowl. But which ever team you choose welcome to the best dam sport in the world and good luck with your team !!!!!!

Steelers.. For one they play great hard nosed football and are one the most storied franchises in the NFL with 5 superbowl rings. They rely on the run, but over the last few years have started passing more. They play lockdown defense.. They are very tough to run on and pass for that matter.

Another reason to cheer for the Steelers is they have great ownership and a great staff. They are playoff contenders almost every year.. you won't be cheering for a team that is at the bottom of the league year in and year out.

It is also a fact they have very hardcore commited fans.. Many of them drive all over the country to support them for they're away games Heinz field is always near capacity for the home games

PLUS you get to wave the terrible towel!!!!!

The Chargers! They got the best player in the game at running back, LT. The best tight end, Gates. Also there o line is sick! They got a great defense, with Merriman, Cromartie ( led the league in INT. last year as a rookie and intercepted Peyton 3 times) and Phillips. All the players are stand up guys and great role models.

Being Canadian, you should at least look at cheering for the Bills.  They're going to start playing one home game a season in Canada (Toronto, I think), so you could almost claim them as your home team.  As far as a good rival for the Patriots, you'd probably make your brother-in-law pretty upset if you became a Colts fan.  They also happen to be a great team and quality organization (and this is coming from a Bears fan).

Football is a sport about watching games and usually while you are watching games you will tend to root for a team...pretty soon you will get interested in this team and the interest will build and build...I love football....I think you should root for the Pats being Canadian and seeing how they are the closest team too you (New England)...but since you want a rival team to him root for the Indianapolis Colts...they are the most competition that the patriots get all year...The colts and pats have the 2 best QBs in the league and both have amazing offences...I would love to see a pats and colts fan in the same room together watchin the AFC championship game...hope this helped!

As a raider fan, The Raiders, Biggest Fan Base, outsold all other NFL team products 3 to 1. Gonna be hella good this year. Great history and rivalry against the patriots.

As a regular person, probably the packers, though w/o brett farve.....though they do hav the most loyal fan base.

The Top teams that can take the patriots head-to-head are the Indy Colts, San Diego Chargers, Jax. Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, and probably the New York Giants (beat the patriots in Super Bowl XLII)

Well if you want a team that rivals New England go with the Jets they have Brett Favre now so they will provide a little more competition for the Pats and Pats fans hate the Jets with a passion because of Mangini aka the RAT in their eyes for telling about the whole spying thing starting SPYGATE. And another rival that will be great this year is the Colts, not in their division but always their rival the games are always great!!!

well i really love the seahawks. no matter how bad their season may go, their players are genuine and generally not cocky. i love the patriots too though, so they wouldnt be so bad to be a fan of either. even though the miami dolphins SUCK, i love them just because they suck. they will usually pull out a huge upset against a good team and its always fun to watch.

Zain-- THE COWBOYS did not play the redskins in the playoffs last year.. nice try. The skins lost the Seahawks first round.
