  1. The Hawks are going to be a good team, but do you really think they can hang with an improving Red Wings team?  They will be a playoff team this year, but they are a couple years out from a championship squad.  The Lightning have to get my most improved tag though.

Hawks and TBL in the finals in 2010. Mark it down.  This year, the West crown and Cup will remain with Detroit who will play against the Devils/Caps in the Finals. 2010 though, the Hawks are going to be scary.

Cloud: Hasek clearly gave up the title of starter both on the depth chart and in common sense when he didn't start the last 16 games of the season...

  2. Best moves...chicago and tampa, although tampa HAS to get some defense and goaltending.....

best shot at a cup is a different story.....Detroit due to their LACK of moves (except for Hossa...who is that guy...any good lol???).  Hossa obviously made them better and they lost nothing....

  3. Detroit is the answer to both questions.

They retained Stuart for less money then he would make elswhere keeping the defensive core intact

They signed the best back goalkeeper in the league

And oh yeah they signed the biggest prize in the free agent market, a two way player who fits into their system. Hossa

On top of that they still have all of their top forwards coming back.

  4. tampa,and hawks

    blues haven't done anything yet.....

  5. Best chance at a Stanley Cup: Detroit.

    Best changes: Tampa Bay.

Edit: DC Fury. Hasek was the starter. They made that very clear. They just pulled him because they felt Osgood was playing better (Hasek began to struggle).

  6. Chicago made the best moves, but Detroit still has the best shot at winning. They lost pretty much nobody and gained Hossa.

  7. Tampa Bay is going to be good. Seen Stamkos?

  8. The Detroit Red Wings.  They added Hossa, but even more importantly they kept almost their entire cup winning team together.  They lost Hasek, but he wasn't even their starter by the end, and they added Ty Conklin who posted the best save percentage in the NHL last season, and have a great goal-tending prospect in Jimmy Howard so it's not that devastating a loss.

Since they won the cup last year and have now added Hossa is there really any doubt who has the best shot?  If they don't win it'll be a HUGE upset.

  9. Detroit.......solid to start and just beefed up.

  10. my...CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS!!!

  11. Red Wings. Red Wings. Enuff said.

  12. The Caps. Why? The best young talent mixed with great vets such a Big Donald,Federov, and a few more. Green,AO,Semin,backstrom,brooksay..Enuff said..enuff said. Chicago forgot that there is a salary cap and signed 29 players but will still stink and the red wings are still going to be good but are a bunch off old men. The caps and the pengs are the teams to beat the next 10-15 years. Just wait and see.
