  1. Unlike many other non-prescription cold, cough, and allergy products, Claritin appears to be safe for people with high blood pressure. The drug is an antihistamine and does not have a stimulatory effect on the heart and blood pressure. However, Claritin-D products may not be safe for people with high blood pressure. Claritin-D contains pseudoephedrine, a decongestant. Like most decongestants, pseudoephedrine can stimulate the heart and blood pressure, which can be a problem for people with hypertension.


  2. claritin is not that bad for blood pressure.  also, if you think you have a cold or something, check out Coricidin--it is especially for people with hypertension.
