What Ohm to run my subs?

I have a set of Lanzar Opti 1234D 1100 rms 2200 max 4Ohms and want to know what is the best way to run them? 8 Ohms or 2 Ohms? My amp has one pos and one neg so if I run them at 8Ohms the amp will see 4Ohms and if I run them at 2ohms my amp will see 1Ohm. Whats the best way to run them? The amp I have is a Lanzar Opti 4000D. 4000rms @ 1Ohm, 3000rms @ 2Ohms 2000 rms @ 3 Ohms, and 1000 rms @ 4Ohms, So what would be the best for me? I have them in a sealed box for now and in the future may concider to switch to a ported box. Can any one help? I ran them at 4ohms and they hit ok but will 1 ohm be better???? Help

i think you got your figures mixed up. the lanzar opti4000d is rated 2000watts rms x 1 at 4 ohms.

the best way to wire them is to run each sub in series to get 8ohms then in parallel to get a 4ohm load to the amp. the amp puts out 2000watts rms @ 4ohms so your subs divide the power equally between them. thats 1000watts per sub.

You cannot run two 4 ohm drivers at 1 ohm.  Only 8 and 2 ohm.   I don't know how you think your amp can see less ohms then what's there.  If you have a two ohm load ... that's what your amp will see.  Either way, if your amp is stable at 1 ohm, you've got nothing to worry about.  Why wire it to 8 ohms?  Rewire it to 2 ohms and you'll be able to get as much power from the amplifier as your alternator will be capable of supporting.  You will also gain output from a properly designed and constructed ported enclosure.  So that is an option for you down the road as well.
