  1. ABeka awards a Florida accredit diploma.  Penn Foster a Washington DC accredited diploma.  The Florida Virtual school awards a Florida diploma, but you have to pay if you're not a Florida resident.  Some K-12.com programs award diplomas if your state participates.

  2. There are some free virtual public schools.  (These are not homeschools.)  Please check below to see if this option is available in your state:

You should also "google" to see if your state has any virtual public school options.

There are also private online schools/academies.  For example, K12 can be purchased directly by the consumer, and it is offered through virtual public schools as well.  There are other online school options, i.e. Oak Meadows, Laurel Springs, etc.  Most private online school options are quite expensive.

If you want to be homeschooled, the first thing you should do is find out how to be legally homeschooled in your state.  The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) has information on this, as well as how to get started in homeschooling; the link is below:

There is a website that has a study program which prepares students for the GED test and also prepareds them for a two-year college.  Although you want a high school diploma, you could use this site study material as curriculum for high school.  The site also has many other courses that you could use as part of your high school curriculum.  Following is the link:

I hope the above information is helpful.

  3. Most on line schools cost around 1000 dollars a semester.  That includes your books and everything.  Most people take 4 to 6 classes.  The one I used and is recommended by most public schools is Keystone High School on line.  I believe it is www.keystoneonline.com.  It is fully accredited, and transferable.  The teachers are great, and the counselors are very helpful.  You can pay as you go, and take one class at a time if you want. There are others, if you call a local high school they will have a list of schools they can recommend as well.  Good luck!
