What Paintball Marker do you Recommend w/ upgrades?

I was going for an Epiphany but maintenance and stuff like that is a pain. So, I'm looking at things like the EOS, the Mini, the PMR (and SLG). I dont want plastic which is why Ion and Proto guns are secondary choices. The EOS is 400 and the Mini 325, but I could upgrade everything about the EOS and i need the marker to last atleast 3+ years.

My gear will probably be:

Evo 3 or VLocity

68ci/4.5k Pure Energy Carbon fiber w/ dye cover

Freak Barrel (just cause its the most accurate thing ive ever seen)

Thanks for your help!!!

  1. Maintenance for the EOS isn't that much easier than for the Epiphany, only taking the bolt out is made easier. As for the plastic thing, the EOS and Epiphany bodies are both just slightly better versions of Ion bodies, so they are plastic too. They just look a little better.  If you're leaning towards the EOS, I'd say go for an Ion XE. Both are bolt-out-back, and the XE is cheaper, while not sacrificing much performance, and both can be upgraded. Otherwise, go for the Mini.

  2. I personally have a PMR and couldnt be happier. Only gripes are the backcap, feedneck, and trigger. They are all composite and should be replaced. Its way better then an ION, has bolt-out-the-back and is a great gun. Its light as well. But the trigger and backcap should be priorityreplcaements for metal ones. Besides the PMR can compete with an EOS side by side. The mini is a love hate kinda gun. If you have big hands and like a gun with some substance to it then the Mini isnt your gun. I understand your composite (Plastic) battle with the PMR but just replace the trigger, backcap, and feedneck and you still save money and are good to go.

    just a few comparisons here:

    PMR vs ION = PMR

PMR vs EOS = EOS or PMR mixed views

PMR vs Epiphany = PMR is Easier to maintain and somewhat better

PMR vs Mini = Love/hate decision

I would go with a PMR just remember though looks of a gun arent everything, its how the gun performs on the field and in play.

  3. well I do not know much about your gun but if i were you I would get a DYE ultralite barrel there amazingly accurate and amazing range shoot as far as a flatline system except these are lighter.
