Question:

What Poisons can Imitate a Heart Attack?

I'm working on my book and I'm trying to find poisons that can imitate heart attacks in people under the age of 35.

Anyone have a clue? I know there's some type of fluid that can, but I forget what it is. Anti-freeze or something? I know rat poison can't. I already looked that up. XD

Why am I asking this in adolescent? Because! I know there are adults out there and Med. students that can answer!

Knowledge is appreciated!

  1. There is a very effective poison that would do that.I don't know what

it's called in english, but in Portugueessse it's called Cianeto.

Maybe you could transalate that on the internet.

  2. I have no idea. I'm pretty sure anti-freeze will just slow your heart rate and make you pass out at the least, but more likely put you in a coma.

  3. h**l no dude.. so you can kill somebody and me be the accessory...

  4. Cyanide kills you instantly, so you could use that. I just know it kills instantly as we watched a documentary on Hitler and it was saying how he killed himself with it and he died instantly. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanide

Potassium... A large dose injected can cause can cause cardiac dysfunction/ arrest. That's pretty good..

Now that I see you aren't trying to kill anybody I will answer seriously. cyanide would be the fastest thing available in those times. It still remains one of the most powerful poisons known. Causes death by respiratory arrest. The person might draw some breaths, but the cyanide would make it impossible for their body to utilize the oxygen. The victim's skin turns blue. I bet a lethal dose would kill in about 2 - 3 minutes.

Those are some of my answers to this. Just a random thought trail there for you. Any help?

Enjoy killing someone in that book of yours. :)
