  1. I'm a Republican, but I have some viewpoints not shared by my party:

    - Criminal Law.  All first time offenders for a non-violent crime should not be given jail time.  They should get house arrest, community service, and/or a a fine.

    - Adding an amendment to the Constitution about g*y marriage is idiocy and waste of time.

    - Any illegal immigrant who can show proof of employment since they got to this country should be allowed to stay and work and be put on a fast track to permanent residency

  2. i have to say this, it won't answer your question, but i need to make this point:

what is the point for the voter to vote for a candidate simply because they belong to a specific party, and then, once they're candidate gets voted in they spend the entire term complaining about the job that person, who they voted for, is doing, but when the next election rolls around they vote for the same candidate, get the same result, and continue to complain (i.e Dubya)

Here's what you do vote for who you feel is the BEST candidate, not your party's candidate, this way you will have no reason to complain, unless you enjoy that.

  3. I don't belong to any party, but I vote Republican about 65%-70% of the time, so I side more with the Republicans than the Democrats.

One thing I disagree with with the Republican party is that they like to push their moral agendas on people. g*y marriage, abortion, s*x education, etc. On a lot of social issues, I do lean more to the liberal side.

But, on the other hand, one thing I do agree with (the Republicans) is individual responsibility. I don't believe that government is suppose to solve all our problems. But I do agree with getting a helping hand from the government. I also don't don't believe it is "society's fault" for someone going bad.

  4. I disagree with the sentiment that it is possible to provide rehabilitation to adult criminals while serving penalty inside prison to make tham more able to live in society better when released.

(I support the practice of having convicted criminals serve penalty, not criminal-rehabilitation sentiments.)

There are other things but that is perhaps the biggest one.

    Thankyou.

That was a very good question.
