Well, here are the facts:

-I'm a short, but powerful, female

-I can run pretty fast

-I'm kind of flexible

-This would be my first time playing softball on a team, but I play pretty well in my backyard, if that even counts

What do you think?

(I do not want to be a pitcher)

  1. The two best options are the outfield and first base. With the outfield it is good to be fast because you need to cover a lot of ground, but you might have a disadvantage if you need to make a diving play or even possibly rob a homer. At first base, you barely need to use any armstrength unless you're part of a cut off play. And the most you really need to do is catch softballs thrown at you.

  2. RF as you start out and if you don't like it 2nd.  If you do like RF the CF when you get experience then once you've got even more experience then LF the toughest place in the out field unless you like to run then stay in CF

  3. catcher

  4. Second base or play the out field

  5. I was going to say second base or out feild i suggest second but it depends if you like fly balls or ground balls and if you have a strong arm you can always move over to short stop but thats a more leader possition

  6. Since you're compact and powerful, I would think playing catcher would make sense, it's a pretty athletic position.  You'd be the captain of the defense while blocking wild pitches, and being able to spring out of a squat and get the throw off to second or third base.  Another thought would be 1st base.  Since you're flexible you would be able to get a great stretch off the bag to help nail the runner; gotta have a great glove in either position though
